Grant Cycle
What’s the funding cycle?
The next application review period will begin with the July 2026 applicant cycle. (although you can submit year-round).
The council reviews applications and select applicants will have the opportunity for a Q/A session with the council. Funding decisions are made 1 month after the Q/A session.
In addition, the council may identify specific unmet needs and announce grants for them on an ad hoc basis. Application deadlines, review periods and decision timelines would vary with each announcement.
How do the two types of grants differ?
The biannual grants will fund programs meeting five needs, and successful proposals must address at least one of them:
- Youth prevention
- Community prevention, education and awareness
- Medication-assisted treatment/medications for opioid use disorder
- Recovery supports and transitions
- Family advocacy
The ad hoc grants will be more flexible, funding community needs and service gaps identified by the Council.
