Can we apply if we are not a nonprofit organization?

Can a public-school shooting sports program apply for a grant?

What is the funding cycle?

- Most funding occurs twice a year, with applications due by January 31 and July 31. The council reviews them in February and August, with presentations in March and September.
- We also offer ad hoc funding opportunities to address specific needs as the Biannual funding.
How do the two types of grants differ?
- Biannual grants focus on five key areas: Youth prevention, community prevention, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder, recovery support, and family advocacy.
- Event Application: Supports short-term activities, including workshops, meetings, and community events that advance awareness and education on opioid use disorder (OUD), prevention efforts, recovery support, and harm reduction strategies.
What are the scoring criteria?
- Alignment with scope of work: How well the project aligns with the council’s goals.
- Proposed execution: Feasibility and organization of the project’s timeline and plan.
- Organizational experience: How your organization’s experience supports the project.
- Proposed costs: Efficiency, reasonability, and detail of the budget.
